Privacy policy
Last updated: 22 October 2026
Rosada is a small houseplant care app run by one person in Barcelona. It keeps only what it needs to remind you about your plants, uses it only to run the app, and deletes all of it when you delete your account.
Who we are
Rosada is run by Aleksandr Bogachev, Barcelona, Spain, who is responsible for your data (the “controller” under the GDPR). For anything in this policy, write to hello@rosada.app.
What we collect
Only what the app needs to work, and nothing you haven’t added yourself.
- Account. Your email address, used to send sign-in codes. With Sign in with Apple, Apple may give us a private relay address instead of your real one.
- Name. The name or nickname you choose when you join.
- Plants. What you add: names, species, rooms, pot and light details, photos, care history, notes and check-ins.
- Location. Only if you allow it: your approximate location, rounded to about 1 km, and the city and country your phone finds for it. Never your exact position. Also your time zone.
- Invites. Who invited you, the codes you have shared and who used them. If you ask for an invite: your name, email and, if you write it, how you heard about Rosada.
How we use it
To run the app for you: to plan watering, misting and feeding (your plants, location and time zone), to identify plants from photos you take, to sign you in, and to let friends join. The legal basis is our agreement with you to provide the app; for location, it is your consent, which you can withdraw in the phone’s settings.
No ads. We don’t sell your data or share it with anyone except the services below, and we don’t use your photos to train anything.
Who processes it for us
These services handle data on our behalf, only for the purpose listed.

What friends can see
Friends see your name and the plant check-ins you choose to share with them. Your plants, notes, photos you don’t share, location and email stay private.
How long we keep it
As long as you have an account. When you delete it (Settings → Delete account), your account, plants, care history, check-ins and photos are deleted at once. Copies in our database backups disappear as the backups expire. Invite requests are deleted once handled, or when you ask.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct, export or delete your data, or object to how we use it: write to hello@rosada.app and we’ll answer within a month. You can also complain to the Spanish data protection authority (AEPD).
Rosada isn’t meant for children under 16.
Cookies
This website uses no cookies, analytics or trackers. The app keeps your sign-in on your phone so you stay signed in.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes too. For important changes, we’ll tell you in the app before they apply.
